I herd this song the other day and it really made me think. I want to trust Him, I'm willing to trust Him, I WILL trust Him.
I Will Trust Him
By Steven Curtis Chapman
I don’t even want to breathe now
All I want to do is close my eyes
I don’t want to open them again
Till I’m standing on the other side
I don’t even want to be right now
I don’t want to think another thought
I don’t want to feel this pain I feel
Right now pain is all I’ve got
It feels like its all I’ve got
But I know that its not
Oh I know you’re all I’ve got
And I will trust you, I’ll trust you
Trust you God, I will
Even when I don’t understand
Even then I will say again
You are my God
And I will trust You
God I’m longing for the day to come
When this cloudy glass I’m looking through
Is shattered in a million pieces
And finally I can just see You
God you know I believe its true
I know I will see you
But until the day I do
And I will trust you, I’ll trust you
Trust you God, I will
Even when I don’t understand
Even then I will say again
You are my God
And I will trust You
And with every breath I take
And for every day that breaks
I will trust you
I will trust you
and when nothing is making sense
Even then I will say again
God I trust You
I will trust You
I know your heart is good
I know your love is strong
I know your plans for me
Are much better than my own
So I will trust you, I’ll trust you
I trust you God, I will
Even when I can’t see the end
And I will trust you, I will trust you. I will
Even when I don’t understand
Even then I will say again
I will trust you, I will trust you. I will
I know your heart is good
your love is strong
your plans for me
Are better than my own
yeah your heart is good
your love is strong
your plans for me
Are better than my own
And I will trust you
You are my God
I will trust you

♥ (h) ♥
Whenever I see the phrase "I ♥ You" somewhere, I automatically think, "Huh? What is that supposed to mean?"
In my head, whenever I see a ♥ instead of the word love, I automatically read it as "I heart you," or "heart so-and-so." I don't automatically read it as "love."
I don't know why I cannot get it into my head what it's supposed to mean. Maybe it's due to that reason that it actually annoys me to an extent when someone writes with hearts instead of the word love. Or even when someone write a heart randomly in a post on Facebook or something like that.
And there you have it, the reasoning behind me not really liking ♥'s so much.
Then again... I end up writting it just as much as some other people do, but not nearly as much as others do. Maybe I feel differently about it when I write it myself. ;)
Oh, and another thing... I don't use it to mean love usually, I just use it as a heart symbol. Oh well, let's more on with life. :)

A Poem
Broken Dreams
Author: Unknown
As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend.
I brought my broken dreams to God
Because He was my Friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.
At last I snatched the back and cried,
"How could You be so slow"-
"My child," He said,
"What could I do? You never did let go."

"There and Back Again"
For our Fall geology trip we went on an 8 day trip to Mt. St. Helens and back. It was quite fun and educational. There is so much to tell, but I will just give pictures for now, a somewhat condensed look at our fantastic trip.

This is basically how we got to the large rock in the middle of the prairie

Some beautiful girl we found along the way. ;)

Yellowstone on a Sunny Day
There we were... riding in the bus on the way to Yellowstone. It was a beautiful sunny day, the kind of day where you feel so perfectly comfortable in your t-shirt and jeans. Yeah, you know the kind of day I'm talking about. So, here are some pictures from that perfectly wonderful day.
*sings* "Everybody has a buffalo..."

Hiking in the Hole
A few weeks ago we went on some hikes. A day hike, then a backpacking trip, then another day hike. Such beauty! It amazes me that we live in a fallen world, yet it is still so beautiful. I can't imagine what beauty the perfect world would have had, and what beauty there will be when the earth is restored. Here are some pictures from my hikes.
The first hike - Ski Lake

We then went on a 3 day backpacking trip to Glacier Lake with a day hike up to Paintbrush Divide on the second day.
Some of the group while taking a break.
Me and my dear Analea.
My roommate Leah. She is hilarious and I love her. :)
Isn't she just the cutest?!?!
Leah's older sister Sarah. She is also adorable and she makes me miss MY older sister!
One of my RA's, Cally. She is so cool. :)
I don't know why I have so many pictures of Leah, but she is so photogenic!
(Love her...)
The "other" Melissa. She is a nut and she is so much fun!
Does this even need an explanation? ;)
A couple days after we got back from our backpacking trip we went on a day hike to Phelps Lake. Beautiful!
This is Joe. He's funny. He's good at posing too. :)
It may be hard to tell, but this is a picture of a reflection on the lake. So amazing!
Me and my roomies! (Natalie in the middle, Leah on the right.)
