There's a whole lot of stuff I'm trying to figure out right now, and I'm having trouble getting it all figured out to my liking. I know that sometimes it won't actually ever be to my liking, and that's fine cause I know God's will is better than my own, but sometimes life just seems insane.
All this figuring made me think of this quote from It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
"Look! We've figured it seventeen different ways, and every time we figured it, it was no good, because no matter how we figured it, somebody don't like the way we figured it! So now, there's only one way to figure it. And that is, every man, including the old bag, for himself!"
This evening I was thinking about how things are so mixed up and need to be sorted out in my head. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just waltz into your head with a few shelves and filing cabinets and just organize everything? The way it's set up right now it seems that as soon as I dig something up there's something else that's gotten covered up. It's almost like looking for a needle in a hay stack... but I digress... back to what I was saying... I'm so glad I'm not the one in charge, and I'm glad that God IS in charge. He knows exactly where everything goes, and He created a spot specifically for each thing. Sometimes I think, for just a second, that His organization system is messed up, but then later I see exactly how His design is soooo much better than mine. Praise be to God, King of the world. *smiles*
So now that I've written this out I feel so much better. It seems that I start of a post with frustrated thoughts, but by the end I can say just how amazing God is and how much I can trust Him. Maybe this whole blog thing was a good idea after all.
