Round Top

It's been a while since I wrote a blog post.  Here goes!

We went on a nice hike with our friend Matt on Micaela's birthday.  We went up on our way to a peak called Round Top.  The hike to Round Top Lake was about "2 and a half miles".  It felt like it took forever to get there!  Not that it was super hard, but for some reason it seemed like  it shouldn't take as long as it did.  Well, once we got to the lake we sat down for a snack lunch and after a bit of looking at the tiny people that we hiking up the rest of the mountain that was basically a huge pile of rocks, we decided to call it a day and head back down.

Here's a picture of Round Top.
Yep, that nice little mountain on the left is where we decided to not climb to. ;)

We then took a lovely hike back around down the other side of the canyon/mountain/thingy.  It was truly a beautiful hike. (but then, I've always liked the downhill portion.)  Once we got over a little rise we had this beautiful view.

It was so beautiful! We then walked down a the hill and went past the lake.  I believe this was Winnemucca Lake.  On the way down to the lake we came across so many amazing wild flowers!

I thought this was cool because there were all these purple mountain lupines, then there was a white one right in the middle of the bunch! :)

We walked to some wildflower fields next, and on the way we came across this cool tree!

Then... the wild flowers. :-D

All in all, this was a pretty nice hike.  I might even be up for doing it again someday! *grins*
